Our summer holidays have come to an end for most of us… September is here and it is time for the kids to go back to school… and for us to go back to work… back to our busy lives… If you find yourself disconnected or overwhelmed with the responsibilities you face, don’t worry, everyone experiences post-holiday blues..
The good news is September is the perfect time to try a new physical activity that you have been postponing until after Summer. Practising any sports releases endorphins that keep your mind in shape as well as your body. I am very excited that I will be back teaching Pilates classes this Autumn.
After taking an over a year's break from running group classes with the support of and encouragement of Nikki, I will be teaching two new classes this Autumn term in Twickenham. I wouldn’t have the courage to start without her! After experiencing and trying many classes I can say that Nikki’s Pilates classes are the best in London and she is already well-known for her positive energy and high quality of teaching in Richmond and Twickenham. I am very excited to work with her and offer a Pregnancy Pilates class on Thursday evenings!
There is nothing more motivating in my job than helping mum-to-be’s to feel great after a class. They benefit from Pilates at every stage of their pregnancy: Pilates prepares them for labour physically and mentally! They gain body awareness and strength in these sessions. I cannot emphasise enough the calming effect of the deep- breathing technique. Mum-to-be’s can connect with their babies and their bodies again through these sessions.
I will also be teaching a beginners Pilates class in the same venue in St Margaret's on Thursday evenings! This will focus on the fundamentals of Pilates and will train you to move correctly in alignment. By focusing on body awareness and control, I will help increase your physical strength every week and teach you to move more efficiently. You will notice a difference even after the first session!
I am very excited about these two community classes, Pilates is a smart way to strengthen your body and it’s incredibly efficient, that’s why it is so popular. I am very happy that I will be introducing and sharing the joy of Pilates with more people this Autumn.
